About Us

In 2011, Sabor Bisaya, a Culinary Competition and Food Expo, was conceptualized by Juan Miguel Gaston, General Manager of Gruppo Uma Food Corporation, known for its restaurant concepts such as Trattoria Uma and Cafe Uma, in Bacolod City. Along with Maricar Dabao of Jovial Media Events as the Event Organizer, Sabor Bisaya promises to be an exciting event with the aim to be "The Premier Culinary Competition and Food Expo in Negros Occidental".

Now on its 2nd year, Sabor Bisaya has partnered with Hotel & Restaurant Association of Negros Occidental (HRANO), the lead food and hospitality organization in Negros Occidental which plays an active role in supporting the growth of the industry in the province.

The Event Objectives are as follows :

  • To expose the local Hospitality, Education and Tourism sector to the International Standards of the Industry.
  • To foster learning, communication and information sharing among our industry peers in the region and nationwide.
  • To provide a venue for international and local suppliers to showcase their high quality products and technical equipment.
